Vehicle-Specific Speakers and Sub Boxes for Trucks and Jeeps

Trucks and Jeeps have little room for a regular sub box, and their factory speaker spots are odd shapes. Vehicle-specific parts are built for those spots. On our listings, Kicker L7T boxes fit behind or under the seat in select Silverado, Sierra, F-150, Super Duty, Ram and Tacoma trucks, with one for the Wrangler tailgate. Cab, year and factory audio decide the fit, so we confirm your vehicle first.

Why vehicle-specific

A vehicle-specific box is shaped for one cab, so it tucks behind or under the seat and leaves the bed and cabin free.

Every part in this guide is on our listings, and we install them in our own bay at 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. Shop by vehicle shows which speaker sizes we have verified for your truck.

Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator

Kicker's 51KJPL7T122 puts a 12-inch L7T in a weather-resistant box on the tailgate of the JL or JK, so the cabin stays open. Its listing notes that on some Wranglers the factory passenger-side sub must come out for clearance, and it needs an amplifier.

Car Subwoofer Buying Guide: Sub, Box, Amp and Wiring for Your Ride

The right sub setup depends on three things: how much space you can give up, how hard you want it to hit, and what radio you are keeping. Small space and a factory radio usually means a powered sub. A trunk or truck cab you can give up means a loaded box and a mono amp. Here is how we point people at the counter, with the parts that come along for the ride.
