Dodge car audio, CarPlay and remote start

Dodge owners like it loud, and the factory system rarely keeps up. We build Chargers, Challengers and Durangos in our Carson bay without breaking Uconnect.

Uconnect is the center of it

On most modern Dodges, Uconnect runs more than the music. Depending on the model and year, it can handle climate, seat heat, performance pages and vehicle settings. Pull it out and you can lose things you use every day. So on most late-model Chargers, Challengers and Durangos, we keep the Uconnect screen and upgrade everything around it.

On some older Journeys and Grand Caravans, a new CarPlay receiver can be a good move with the right dash kit and integration.

Factory premium systems

Depending on the year and trim, many Dodges came with an Alpine or Harman Kardon system, and some earlier ones had Beats. These systems use a factory amp and a specific speaker layout. That is not a problem. It just means the right plan is different.

A sound processor takes the factory signal, cleans it up and feeds new amps. That is how we get real output without fighting the Uconnect unit.

Speakers and bass for muscle cars

A Charger or Challenger trunk has room for a real sub. A single sub in a sealed or ported box is a popular way to go, powered by a mono amp tucked out of the way. Up front, a quality component set like Hertz makes the highs clean instead of harsh.

In a Durango, we keep the third row and cargo area usable and still add real bass.

Dodges are popular targets, so security matters. We install Viper and Compustar alarms and remote start. A two-way Viper remote tells you when something happens to the car. Dash cams are another common add for our Dodge customers.

We tune every system in the bay before you leave. On a Charger or Challenger that means the bass hits hard without rattling the trunk lid, and the front stage stays clean when you turn it up. Sound deadening in the trunk and doors helps a lot here.

Dodge car audio, CarPlay and remote start: questions

Can I keep my Uconnect screen and still get more bass?

Yes. That is what we do on most late-model Dodges. A sound processor or line output device feeds new amps and subs while Uconnect stays in place.

My Charger has the Alpine or Harman Kardon system.

Yes. Those systems use a factory amp, so we plan around it. Text us the year and trim and we will tell you the best path.

Do you install alarms in Chargers and Challengers?

Yes, Viper and Compustar. We confirm the right parts for your year and trim, including remote start on push-to-start models.
