Lexus car audio, CarPlay and remote start

A Lexus is quiet and well built, so a good sound upgrade really shines in one. We work on the IS, ES, RX, GX and NX, and we treat the interior with care.

Mark Levinson or standard

Many Lexus models offer a Mark Levinson system on some trims. It uses a factory amp and a specific speaker layout, and it is already a step up. Standard Lexus systems also often run through a factory amp.

Either way, we find out what your Lexus has before we recommend anything.

An NX or RX is a daily driver for a lot of our customers, and they want it to stay quiet and trouble free. We use the right harnesses so factory wiring is not cut where it does not have to be. That keeps things clean if you ever sell the car.

Keep the screen

Lexus dashboards are tightly built. On many models, the screen works with a touchpad or controller and handles settings, climate and more. Swapping it rarely makes sense.

Instead, we usually keep the factory screen and use a sound processor to take the factory signal and clean it up. Then new amps and speakers get a proper signal. On some older models, a CarPlay add-on or a new receiver with a vehicle-specific kit may be possible. We check your year.

Refined upgrades

Lexus owners usually want clarity, not a rattling trunk. A high-end component set like Hertz Mille, a five-channel amp and a compact powered sub under a seat is a great mix. It adds detail and depth without taking over the car.

Sound deadening in the doors cuts road noise and lets the new speakers do their job. In an RX or GX, we keep cargo space usable. In an IS or ES, we keep the trunk clean.

We are careful with Lexus panels and trim. Everything is done in our own bay by our own crew. A hardwired dash cam is a common add, and so is Viper security. Most Lexus models are push-to-start, so remote start needs the right bypass.

Ask before you buy

An ES 350 with Mark Levinson and a base ES are two different jobs. Tell us the year, make, model and trim. Text us and we confirm what fits and quotes the install.

Lexus car audio, CarPlay and remote start: questions

Can a Mark Levinson system be upgraded?

Yes. It uses a factory amp, so we plan around it, often with a sound processor that cleans up the factory signal before new amps.

Will you replace my Lexus screen?

Usually not. On most newer models the screen runs too much of the car. We keep it and upgrade the sound behind it.

Can I add bass without losing trunk space?

Yes. A compact powered sub under a seat adds depth and keeps the trunk or cargo area free.
