Head unit installation
The receiver goes in on a dash kit made for your car and a plug-in harness, so no factory wire is cut, the trim sits flush and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come up on the screen the first time.

What Montclair drivers bring us
Speaker replacement
New speakers on adapter rings in the doors, wiring tied off inside the panel, door cards back on without a rattle. The quickest improvement a factory system can get.
Subwoofer installation and amplifier installation
Power wire fused at the battery, ground sanded to bare metal, the box strapped so it cannot slide, and the gains set in the car so the amp is loud without clipping.
Car window tint
Solar or Solar Ceramic film cut on a glass board, four doors and the rear window, edges tucked under the gasket.
Car alarm installation, remote start installation and GPS tracker installation
Viper 3108V with the brain hidden, Compustar 9910 with its bypass module, and trackers tucked into the loom where nobody looks.
Plenty of Montclair drivers wait inside; there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi and a restroom, and if you want to stretch your legs a mall, coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Everyone is welcome; we are an LGBTQ-friendly shop. From Montclair you can reach us by the 110, the 405 or the 710; the shop is right off the 110 at Avalon Blvd.

Questions
Montclair questions we hear
Will a new head unit keep my backup camera and steering wheel buttons?
Yes. The interface module for your make carries the camera, the wheel controls and the factory chimes over to the new unit, and we confirm each one works before you leave. Send the year, make and model and we tell you which units fit and what they keep.
What does a subwoofer installation actually include?
The amplifier, the fused power run from the battery, a ground on bare metal, signal from the head unit or a line-out converter on the factory radio, the box secured in the trunk, and gain and crossover set in the car. The Dual Kicker Comp box is $249 box only as of October 2026; the install is quoted on the vehicle.
Can Montclair drivers get the stereo and window tint done in one day?
Yes, and it is the smart way to use a trip that long. Book both and the bay is yours for the day: the audio goes in first, the Solar or Solar Ceramic film last, so nobody touches the glass while it cures, and you drive home with both finished.
Do you tune the system before I drive home?
Every time. Gains, crossovers and balance are set with the car running and the doors closed, then played at the volume you actually use. If a factory amp or a dead speaker is holding the system back, you hear about it before any more money is spent.
