Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for La Palma Drivers

Adding Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is the most common reason a La Palma driver makes the 12.5-mile trip to Audio MotorSports at 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. The install keeps the factory camera and wheel buttons, and the shop also does window tint, car stereo and subwoofer installs, car alarms, remote start, GPS tracking, dash cameras, Tesla tint and Harley bagger audio for La Palma.

What La Palma drivers bring us

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installation

Two routes: a new Pioneer or Kenwood head unit with a dash kit, or a plug-in module that adds CarPlay to a factory screen. We look at the dash and pick the one that keeps the most original function.

Speaker replacement and amplifier installation

Door speakers swapped on the factory harness and an amplifier wired with fused power that make a factory system sound like it should have from the start.

Car window tint

Solar for glare and privacy, Solar Ceramic for heat, both hand-cut on a glass board.

Viper alarm installation and Compustar installation

Viper 3108V alarms and Compustar 9910 remote starts, wired into factory circuits and hidden.

Dash camera installation and GPS tracker installation

Hardwired to a fuse tap and hidden behind the trim.

If you would rather wait inside than make two trips from La Palma, the shop has seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi, a restroom and a water fountain. Everyone is welcome here, and the shop is LGBTQ-friendly. The shop sits right off the 110 freeway, with easy access from the 405 and the 710 as well, so three freeways lead to it from La Palma.

Prices as of October 2026

Window tint Solar $249, Solar Ceramic $329 installed. Viper 3108V alarm $269 installed. Compustar 9910 remote start from $499. CarPlay modules, head units and dash kits are quoted on the vehicle at the shop. Payment plan available, ask Nick.

Questions

La Palma questions we hear

What is the difference between a wired and a wireless CarPlay install?

Wired CarPlay connects through a USB cable and charges the phone while you drive. Wireless pairs over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi so the phone stays in your pocket. Most new head units do both, and wired factory systems can be made wireless with an adapter. We set up whichever you prefer.

Will I lose my backup camera or steering-wheel buttons with a new deck?

No. The camera comes through an interface harness and the wheel buttons through a control module, both matched to your year, make and model. We test the camera, the buttons and the Bluetooth before you leave the shop so nothing is discovered missing on the drive home.

How far do people drive for this kind of work?

Further than La Palma, by a lot. Owners have driven in from San Diego, and people call from much farther to ask. The bay does one car at a time with one installer on it, and that is why the trip gets made. La Palma is an easy run by comparison.

Can I combine CarPlay with car window tinting in one visit?

Yes, and it saves a second trip. The head unit goes in first, then the tint goes on while the install is tested. Solar is $249 and Solar Ceramic $329 installed as of October 2026. Drop the car in the morning and pick up both jobs that afternoon.
