Will ceramic tint affect my Tesla's range or climate control?
It helps. Less infrared heat through the glass means the cabin starts cooler and the air conditioning works less, which is a small but real range gain on hot days. The film is non-metallic, so phone key, cellular and Supercharger communication are unaffected.
Can you tint the front windows on a Tesla legally?
Yes. California allows front side windows to pass at least 70 percent of light, and there are ceramic films that meet that while still cutting heat. The rear sides and back glass can go darker. We will show you shades on real glass at the shop.
How is Tesla window tint different from tinting a regular car?
The glass. The rear window on a Model 3 or Y is one large curved piece, and the frameless door glass needs a careful edge. Film is cut on the car rather than pre-cut, so it fits the gasket cleanly and does not peel at the top of the door.
Is it worth the drive from Buena Park for a tint job?
