From Lakewood to Carson
Lakewood is about 7.7 miles from the shop, around fifteen to eighteen minutes outside rush hour (approx). We take appointments Monday through Saturday between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM and are closed on Sunday. Set your time by call or text; you can hand over the key and come back, or wait while the tint is applied. People drive here from San Diego for Tesla tint, so Lakewood is an easy trip, and film fitted right the first time is cheaper than film that has to be stripped and redone.

Lakewood questions we hear
Is driving from Lakewood worth it for Tesla window tint?
Yes. Tesla rear glass is one large curved piece and the film has to be heat-shrunk to fit it cleanly, which is a skill, not a kit. We do these regularly, the shop is about 7.7 miles from Lakewood, and the car is typically ready the same day.
Which Tesla models do you tint?
Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X, plus Cybertruck on request. We tint the front doors, rear doors or quarter glass and the rear window; the glass roof is already dark from the factory and is not filmed. Pricing is quoted in person because it varies by model and glass area.
Does ceramic tint interfere with the Tesla cameras or key card?
No. Ceramic film is non-metallic, so it does not block the key card reader, the phone key, GPS or the cameras. We keep film away from camera housings and sensor areas. You keep full use of Autopilot features and connectivity after the tint goes on.
Can a Lakewood driver get Tesla tint and dash camera installation in one visit?
Yes, we schedule both in one appointment. While the film cures, we hardwire the dash camera to a fuse tap so it records in parking mode without draining the battery. Tell us both services when booking so we reserve the bay time.
What tint shade is legal on front side windows in California?
California requires front side windows to allow at least 70 percent of light through; rear doors and the back glass can be darker. We will show you what each shade looks like on the car and help you stay inside the rule while still cutting heat and glare.
