Northridge to Carson
Northridge is about 32.2 miles from the shop, a 64 to 77 minute drive outside rush hour (approx). We are open Monday through Saturday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM and closed Sunday. Book by phone or text, then wait while the receiver goes in or leave the car for the day if tint or an alarm is on the list. Can an older truck from Northridge get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installation?
Yes. Most trucks with a standard dash opening take a double-DIN receiver with the right kit, and many with odd factory screens have an interface that works. Text your year, make and model and we will confirm what fits and what it keeps before you drive to Carson.
Will head unit installation keep my factory backup camera and wheel buttons?
Yes. An interface passes the factory camera to the new screen in reverse, and a retention module carries the steering-wheel volume and track buttons. If your vehicle has a factory amplifier we keep that too. Nothing you already had goes away; that is the point of doing it at a shop.
Is Northridge too far to drive for CarPlay installation?
No. It is about 32.2 miles, roughly 64 to 77 minutes outside rush hour (approx), to 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. The receiver is easy to buy anywhere; a clean install with the dash trim, harness and camera all right is what you drive for. Done once, done right.
Should I replace my speakers while the dash is apart?
If they are factory and the car has some years on it, yes. A new receiver makes tired speakers obvious. Speaker replacement on adapters with the wiring secured is a modest add-on while we are already in there, and it saves you a second trip from Northridge.
Can you add car window tint to my Northridge appointment?
Yes. Book tint with the CarPlay install and we run the wiring first and the film second so it cures untouched. Solar is $249 and Solar Ceramic is $329 installed as of October 2026, hand-cut on your glass. Drop the car at opening and pick it up before 6:00 PM.
