Winnetka to the Carson bay
Winnetka is about 31.5 miles from the shop, roughly sixty-three to seventy-six minutes outside rush hour (approx). We take appointments Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and are closed Sunday. Call or text first, then wait while the pods are installed or leave the bike and ride back on a borrowed seat. Bike wiring sealed and routed right the first time is what the ride buys you. Plenty of Winnetka drivers wait inside; there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi and a restroom, and if you want to stretch your legs a mall, coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Everyone is welcome here, and the shop is LGBTQ-friendly. From Winnetka you can reach us by the 110, the 405 or the 710; the shop is right off the 110 at Avalon Blvd.

Is it worth riding from Winnetka to Carson for AMS pods?
Yes. AMS pods are built here for Harley touring bikes and installed every week, so the fit, the amplifier wiring and the weather sealing are routine. The ride is about 31.5 miles, the install is done in a day, and a bike wired right once does not come back for a dead channel.
What does bagger audio installation involve on a Street Glide?
The pods mount in the fairing lowers, the amplifier is fused at the battery and grounded to the frame, and the speaker wiring is routed away from heat and sealed at every connection. The factory head unit keeps its controls. You hear the music over wind noise instead of guessing at it.
Can the factory Harley radio drive the new speakers without an amplifier?
At low speed, yes, but the factory radio runs out of power on the freeway and the speakers cannot overcome wind noise. Amplifier installation is what makes the upgrade work above 50 miles per hour. We will tell you plainly whether your bike needs it.
Do Winnetka drivers come for car window tint as well?
Yes. Window tint is one of our main services: Solar or Solar Ceramic film hand-cut on a glass board and installed on the doors and rear window. Bring the car on its own appointment, or bring both the car and the bike on one day if we have the bay time.
How is the amplifier protected from rain and vibration on a bike?
It is mounted on a solid bracket inside a bag or under the seat, away from spray and exhaust heat, with the connections sealed and the harness secured so nothing chafes. Power is fused at the battery. That is why the install lasts through rides in any weather.
