Does ceramic window tint help with heat or just glare?
Both, and heat is where ceramic earns its price. Solar Ceramic rejects infrared energy that plain dyed film lets through, so the cabin and the steering wheel stay cooler at the same visual darkness. It also will not turn purple or bubble over the years the way cheap film does.
What tint shade is legal on the front doors in California?
Front side windows must pass at least 70 percent of visible light, so a light film is the legal limit there. On the rear doors and back glass you can go as dark as you want. We lay the film to those rules and show you the options on the car before cutting.
How much is car window tint and what does the price cover?
Solar is $249 and Solar Ceramic is $329 installed as of October 2026. That is four doors plus the back window; the windshield gets the legal strip only if you ask. The price is the same for every city on this site, with no extra charge for the Playa del Rey drive.
Can I add a dash camera installation to the tint appointment?
Yes. The camera is wired to a fuse tap with a voltage cutoff so it never drains the battery, the cable goes up the A-pillar out of sight, and then the tint goes on. One visit, one pickup. The shop holds Google 4.8 (655 reviews) and Yelp 4.7 (777 reviews), as of October 2026.
