Front side windows must allow at least 70 percent of visible light through, and the windshield can only be tinted above the manufacturer's AS-1 line. Rear side windows and the back glass have no limit. We carry film that meets the front rule and still cuts glare and heat.
Yes. Purple, bubbled or peeling film comes off with steam and a scraper, and the adhesive is cleaned from the glass before new film goes on. Removal adds time and is quoted at the shop based on how many windows need it and how stubborn the old adhesive is.
Mostly in the rear window. A Tesla back glass is one large curved piece, so the film is heat-shrunk to the shape and installed as a single sheet. We also avoid the camera and sensor zones. Ceramic film is the right choice because it does not interfere with the phone key or Autopilot hardware.
