What makes a Viper alarm installation hard to defeat?
Placement and wiring. We hide the control module away from the obvious spots, solder and tape every connection instead of using crimp taps, and wire the starter interrupt so pulling a fuse does not disable it. The shock sensor is tuned so a window tap chirps and a hit sets off the siren.
Should a West Hollywood car have a GPS tracker as well as an alarm?

A hardwired dash cam with a proper parking-mode kit monitors battery voltage and shuts itself off before the car will not start. We wire it to the fuse box, not to a cigarette plug, and hide the cable in the trim. Front and rear coverage is the usual setup for street-parked cars.
