Is it worth driving from Anaheim Hills for car stereo installation?
Yes. Any shop can sell you a deck and speakers. What you drive for is the install: harness matched to the car, speakers sealed to the door, amplifier fused and grounded, gains set with a meter. A system done once and done right does not come back with a buzz or a blown fuse.
Can I keep my factory screen and still get better sound?
Yes. Speaker replacement, an amplifier and a subwoofer can all go in behind the factory radio using a signal converter. Navigation, the backup camera and the factory look stay. If the radio is the weak point, a CarPlay head unit installation is the other route.
What does subwoofer installation cost to start?
The Dual Kicker Comp loaded box is 249 dollars box only as of October 2026. The amplifier, wiring kit and labor are quoted on your car at the shop. It is a solid first step for bass in a sedan or SUV and can be upgraded later.
How long should I plan to be without the car?
A head unit swap is a couple of hours. Speakers, an amplifier and a sub together are usually a full day. Nick will give you a realistic time when he quotes the job so you can plan the drive from Anaheim Hills around it.
Will a new amplifier cause alternator whine or dim the headlights?
Not when it is installed right. Signal cables are routed away from power, the ground is short and clean, and the power wire is sized to the amp. If the car's alternator or battery is weak we will tell you before adding load, not after.
