Florence-Firestone work orders

Subwoofer installation and amplifier installation

A Dual Kicker Comp box with two subs, an amp sized to push it, and a head unit that controls it all. We run power wire with a fuse at the battery, ground it properly and set the gains so the system is loud without clipping or rattles.

Car window tint and ceramic window tint

Solar for the look, Solar Ceramic for heat rejection, both hand-cut on a glass board at a legal front shade.

Car alarm installation and remote start installation

Viper alarm installation with a shock sensor that is actually set correctly, and Compustar installation for the morning commute, wired so it cannot be defeated at the fuse box.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installation and head unit installation

A real touchscreen in a car that came with a cassette slot or a tiny factory display, with the dash left looking factory.

Questions

Florence-Firestone questions we hear

What does a subwoofer and amplifier setup cost at your shop?

The Dual Kicker Comp box is $249 for the box only as of October 2026. The amplifier, wiring kit and install labor are quoted per vehicle because trunk space, battery location and the factory stereo all change the job. Text us with the year, make and model for a number.

Is it really worth driving from Florence-Firestone to Carson for a car stereo?

At 10 miles, yes. You get a shop that does car audio every day, with the wiring run correctly, the amp gains set with a meter and the subs tuned in the bay. A cheap install that cuts out or rattles costs more in the long run than the drive down.

Can you make my factory stereo louder without replacing the head unit?

Yes. We add an amplifier that takes the factory signal, then upgrade the speakers and add a subwoofer. The dash stays stock, the steering-wheel controls keep working, and the system gets real volume and bass. It is the standard fix for newer cars with integrated screens.

How long does a full car stereo install take?

A head unit swap runs two to three hours. Adding an amplifier, subwoofer box and new door speakers can take most of a day because of the wiring and tuning. Florence-Firestone customers usually drop off in the morning and we call when the car is ready.

Will a loud system drain my battery or hurt the alternator?

Not if it is wired right. We size the power wire and fuse to the amplifier, add a proper ground and, for larger systems, recommend the big-three wiring upgrade. A system that dims your headlights on every bass note is a wiring problem, not a reason to turn it down.
