On most hybrids, yes. Compustar installation on a hybrid brings the car to ready mode so the climate control runs, using a bypass module made for that vehicle. Some models need extra parts, so tell us the year, make and trim when you book and we will confirm before you drive down.
Yes, and it is the setup we recommend for a car that parks outside overnight. The alarm deters and the tracker reports location and movement to your phone if the car leaves without you. Both are hardwired and hidden, and the two installs share the same appointment.
Plan on most of a day for both together. A Viper alarm by itself is a few hours; adding Compustar remote start means more wiring and programming. La Canada Flintridge customers usually drop off in the morning, and we call when the car is ready.
The standard Compustar 9910 remotes have good range for a driveway or a nearby street. For longer distances or starting the car from work, an app-based add-on uses your phone instead of the remote. We can quote that at the shop when you book the install.
