Is Altadena too far from Carson for car window tint?
No. The drive is about 26.2 miles, the job is done in a day, and you can wait or drop the car. Tint that is cut on your glass by hand and applied by a crew that does it daily is a one-time purchase; film that bubbles or peels has to be stripped and paid for twice.
What does window tinting involve at your shop?
The glass is cleaned, the film is cut by hand on the window itself rather than from a pattern, then it is shrunk, laid, squeegeed and trimmed to the gasket. Door seals are protected during the work. The car sits briefly before you drive it, and the film cures fully over the following days.
Which film is better for a car parked outside in Altadena?
Solar Ceramic. It rejects far more infrared heat than standard film, so the cabin stays cooler and the air conditioning does less work. Standard Solar film handles glare and privacy well at a lower price. If heat is your main complaint, ceramic is the right choice.
Can remote start installation be done the same day as tint?
Yes. Compustar remote start installation runs while the window film is applied, so an Altadena driver can book both and pick up one finished car. Give us the year, make and model when scheduling so the bypass module and film are ready.
Do you tint the front windshield?
We do not apply dark film to the windshield; California does not allow it. We tint the four doors and the rear window, keeping the front doors at the legal 70 percent light transmission. We will show you the shades on your car before any film is cut.
