About Sony at Audio MotorSports
Sony has two floating-screen receivers listed: the XAV-AX8100 with an 8.95-inch screen and the XAV-AX8500 with a 10.1-inch screen. Both run Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and both sit on a single-DIN chassis with the screen held out in front of the dash, so they can go into cars that only have a small radio opening.
A floating screen is about the dash more than the radio. The panel has to clear the vents, the hazard switch, and the climate knobs, and it has to sit where you can reach it. We will look at the car, or a photo of the dash, and tell you if the 8.95-inch or the 10.1-inch is the better fit, or if a double-DIN deck is the smarter call.
The Sony cards say Call for price. Call or text and we will quote the receiver with the dash kit, harness, and install. If you want to compare screens, the JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Alpine floating screens are on the same wall. Installs happen here in our bay, often the same day.
