What is the difference between Solar and Solar Ceramic window tint?
Solar film cuts glare and adds privacy at a lower price. Solar Ceramic does the same and also rejects far more infrared heat, so the cabin stays cooler and the air conditioning works less. If your car lives outside in the sun, ceramic is the better value over time.
How dark can I legally tint front windows in California?
California requires front side windows to pass at least 70 percent of visible light, with no limit on rear doors and back glass. We show you the shades on your car and keep the fronts inside the rule so you do not get a fix-it ticket.
Can tint be installed on a car that has old film on it?
Yes. We strip the old film, remove the adhesive and clean the glass before applying new Solar or Solar Ceramic film. Removal takes extra time, so mention it when you book. Rear windows with defroster lines are handled carefully so the lines keep working.
Can Westminster drivers add remote start installation on the same day as tint?
Yes, that is a common combined booking. Compustar remote start installation happens while the window film is applied, and you leave with both finished. Give us the year, make and model when you schedule so the bypass module and film are ready.
