Head unit installation

A Pioneer or Kenwood deck with CarPlay and Android Auto, installed with the proper dash kit and interface so the backup camera, wheel buttons and microphone keep working. No drilled dash.

Questions

Sierra Madre questions we hear

What does a speaker replacement involve?

The door panel comes off, the factory speaker comes out, the new speaker goes on an adapter ring and plugs into the factory harness, and the panel goes back with the clips seated so nothing rattles. On factory power it already sounds clearer; an amplifier installation later adds volume.

Is a subwoofer installation possible with a factory stereo?

Yes. A line-output converter takes the signal from the factory speaker wires, an amplifier drives the sub, and the enclosure is strapped in the trunk. A Dual Kicker Comp box is $249 box only as of October 2026, with the amp, wiring and converter quoted on the car.

How long will my car be at the shop?

A head unit installation is a few hours; add speakers and an amplifier and it is most of a day. Drop it in the morning and it is usually ready by late afternoon, or wait if you prefer. Google 4.8 (655 reviews) and Yelp 4.7 (777 reviews), as of October 2026, for anyone checking first.

Can window tint go on during the same visit as the stereo?

Yes, and it makes the drive from Sierra Madre count. Solar is $249 and Solar Ceramic $329 installed as of October 2026, and the film goes on while the stereo is tested. Book both at once and tell Nick the year, make and model so the parts are ready.
